WRITING PROMPT 7
What is the danger of making first impressions?
Think about a time when you felt nervous to cause a good impression. You may describe a situation in the past or in the future. How do you think your first day will be next school year?
Think about the first minutes before your class, inside a classroom, outside in the hallway, during your lunch time, during dismissal....
Would you worry about having class with someone you already know? Would you worry about your outfit? Your hair? The way you speak or participate in class?
You will be the youngest generation again, would you have to try hard to impress others, who don't know you yet?
I don’t believe in first impressions, I have always though that you can’t get to know someone the first time that you see them because well some people are like based on the physic and they don’t know really the person, its like judging a person only because they are pretty or ugly, And you can’t do that because maybe that person its having a bad day so he its a little moody or he is sleepy and you think that he is boring, But thats if you get to know them. Sometime people judge people because of the way they look, if they are tall or short, or if they look handsome or if they are “ugly” and if they don’t like how they look they don’t talk to them. And that its wrong on many levels because first of all you could make a very good friend, second its wrong because you can’t judge people with out knowing them very good and even there its wrong because you are no one to compare or to judge.
I don’t care about first impressions, when I get to a place where I don’t know the people there, I just act normal, I act like myself, maybe some persons I talk a lot or that I am very childish, but I don’t care, I wont change for them. If they like me good, if not still good, I remember when I came to TEC like I really try to act the opposite I was like very mature and I really felt really like insecure because I wasn’t acting like I am, so I really persuade people to act like they are and live happy.(credits to the image)
